HISTORIA.
PIJAOS:(De PINAOS, nombre dado por los Españoles a los nativos de éstas tierras en la epoca de la Conquísta, por el tamaño prominente de su Naturaleza.
ORIGEN.
De orígen Nomádico Karibe.LLegaron a Tierra fírme a traves del "Tapon del Darien", Norte del Oceano Atlantico, esquína de lo que es hoy Panamá y el departamento del Chocó-Colombia-Sur America.
ASENTAMIENTO.
Por imposicion sobre las tribus hermanas locales Nasa-Paez,PIJAOS Bárbaros Guerreros, avanzaron a traves del Chocó hasta los límites de Cartago para finalmente establecerse en lo que és hoy el Departamento de Tolima.
INFLUENCIAS CULTURALES.
La combinacion de (3) tres grupos étnicos Locales conforman la Cultura Pijao.Ellos son: PANCHES - CHIBCHAS - y KITCHWAS.

Principales: Cutivas-Aypes-ambeimas-amoyas-tocaimas-anapoimas-cocotaimas-Totumos-Anatoimas-Pantagoras-Coyaimas-Ortegas-Natagaimas-Panaos-Guarros-Tonuros-Hamayes y Quindíos, entre otros...
En el presente, las tribus mas radicales en preservar las raices de sus "Usos y Costumbres" tradicionales son los ORTEGAS - COYAIMAS y NATAGAIMAS, quienes aun conservan sus asentamientos,Cabildos,y Resguardos, en sus territorios Ancestrales en el Departamento del Tolima.
Comunidad indígena PIJAO "AMBIKA2000"
HISTORIA :
AMBIKÁ : Nombre de cacíque Pijao y actual nombre de afluente de "Nanyanua"(dialecto Pijao:Agua), cerca al Município de Chaparral - Tolíma.
Esta Organizacion indígena se constituyó al comienzo del Nuevo Milenio.Por ésta razón año 2000.
Esta Comunidad indígena desplazada se asentó urbanamente en la Localidad de Antonio Nariño zona 15 de Bogotá D.C.desde el año de 1.999.
Está integrada por miembros descendientes de 3 tribus Pijao Principales: Ortegas - Coyaimas y Natagaimas.
Por su naturaleza Nomádica, ya sea huyendo de la violencia rural por conflictos interno Armado, o en busca de satisfacer sus necesidades básicas para sobrevivír, los miembros de ésta Comunidad comparten´su lugar en ésta Localidad, con otras 2 minorías indígenas asentadas igualmente tiempo atrás. Ellos son: los INGAS(del Putumayo,sur del Pais), y los KITCHWAS(Colombo-Ecuatorianos nacídos en éste territorio).

HISTORY.
PIJAOS:(From PINAOS,Spanish name given to Local natives at the time of the Conquest,because of their Prominent Nature.
ORIGIN.
Nomadic Karibbean origin. Came Inland through "Darien Knot",North of Atlantic Sea, corner betwen today´s Panamá, and Chocó County-Colombia-South America.
SETTLEMENT.
By imposition on Local brother tribes Nasa-Paez, PIJAOS barbarous warriors, advanced through Chocó County down limits of Cartago,stablishing finally at today´s Tolima County.
CULTURAL INFLUENCES.
A mixture of (3) three Local ethnic groups conform Pijao Culture.They are: PANCHES - CHIBCHAS - and KITCHWAS.

AMBIKA2000 COMMUNITY - HISTORY:
AMBIKA: Indigenous PIJAO Chief name, and name of brook flow of "Nanyanua"(Pijao dialect: Water)near the province of Chaparral-Tolíma County-Colombia S.A.
This indigenous Organization was constituted at the begining of the New Milenium.Therefore "AMBIKA2000".
This displaced indigenous Pijao Community is settled at the borough of Antonio Nariño.Zone 15 Bogotá D.C, since 1.999.
It is integrated by members of 3 main tribes descendants: Coyaimas, Ortegas, and Natagaimas.
Because of its nomadic nature, either running away from rural Country violence, internal war conflict or just in search of fulfilling their basic needs for survival, the member of this Community share their place at this Borough with two other indigenous Minorities settled here as well, long time ago.Thy are :
INGAS(From Putumayo-South the Country), and KITCHWAS,(Colombo-Ecuatorian born indigenous populations). |
